Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions’ 3200 Resistor Hurricane Impact Storefront is engineered, designed and tested in accordance with the demanding Standards of Miami-Dade County (NOA) and the Florida Building Code (FBC). The 1-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ systems are available in shear block assembly and are ideal for single span Impact Resistant storefront applications. The 3200 thermally broken system is glazed with 1-5/16″ laminated, insulated glazing infill. The front set glazed 3200 systems can use 9/16″ laminated glass as well, and is interior glazed. Trulite’s 351 Impact Resistant entrances are easily integrated into these systems. Trulite has the unique ability to produce and furnish the complete impact resistant system and glazing, which is an added convenience for the building team. The design of these systems has become the standard for storefront systems in high velocity hurricane zones.
The Resistor Impact 3200 Series storefront system is designed for hurricane impact protection in commercial and institutional projects where structural integrity and high wind-load resistance are required:
Coastal and hurricane-prone retail and office buildings – Provides reliable impact protection meeting Miami-Dade and Florida Building Code standards.
Schools, municipal, and government facilities – Protects critical infrastructure and occupants during severe weather events.
Healthcare, hospitality, and mixed-use developments – Maintains safety, energy performance, and aesthetics in high-traffic environments.
New construction and retrofits – Integrates seamlessly with Trulite entrances, curtain walls, and accessories for cohesive building envelopes.
1-1/4″ × 4-1/2″ Thermal, Center-Glazed Framing – Offset to front-glazed configuration for impact-resistant glazing.
Shear Block Construction – Simplifies fabrication while maintaining system strength.
Air Infiltration (ASTM E283) – Does not exceed 0.06 cfm/ft² at 6.24 psf static pressure.
Water Resistance (ASTM E331 / AAMA 501) – No uncontrolled water infiltration at 12 psf.
Structural Performance (ASTM E330 / TAS-202) – Maximum allowable deflection of L/180 at 1.5× design load without glass breakage or permanent set.
Impact Resistance (TAS-201, TAS-203, ASTM E1886) – Meets large- and small-missile impact requirements for hurricane-prone regions.
Thermal Movement – Accommodates expansion and contraction without compromising seals or structural integrity.
Durability & Warranty – Backed by Trulite’s two-year standard manufacturer’s warranty and limited lifetime corner warranty on hurricane impact-resistant entrance doors.
System Compatibility – Works seamlessly with Trulite storefront, entrance, and curtain wall systems for a complete impact-protection solution.
