Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions’ CT501/CG502 Resistor Hurricane Impact Storefront is engineered, designed, and tested in accordance with the demanding Standards of Florida Building Code (FBC), and the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). The 2-1/2″ x 5″ center glazed systems are available in single or double pour&debridge thermal configuration. It is also available in a non-thermal version as CG502. The frame assembly is by screw spline method and is ideal for single-span Impact Resistant storefront applications. The system is glazed with 1-5/16″ laminated glazing infill. The CG501 has the option of either wet or dry glazed. Trulite’s Impact Resistant Entrances (351, 351X & 352) are easily integrated into these systems. Trulite has the unique ability to produce and furnish the complete impact-resistant system and glass products, which is an added convenience for the building team – a true single source for your next project. The design of these systems has become the standard for storefront systems in high-velocity hurricane zones.
The CT501 Thermal Impact and CG502 Non-Thermal Impact Storefront Systems are designed for hurricane impact resistance in commercial, institutional, and retail projects:
Coastal retail and office storefronts – Provides dependable storm protection while maintaining a modern, center-glazed appearance.
Schools, municipal, and government facilities – Safeguards infrastructure and occupants in high-wind zones.
Healthcare, hospitality, and mixed-use developments – Combines high-performance impact resistance with versatile design for high-traffic environments.
New construction and retrofits – Integrates seamlessly with Trulite entrances and curtain walls for a complete impact-rated building envelope.
2-1/2″ × 5″ Center-Glazed Storefront – CT501 offers thermally broken design for energy efficiency; CG502 is non-thermal for interior or budget-sensitive projects.
